Best Bakers in Town

Sometimes Ben and I have kitchen dates where we like to prove what great cooks we are. This weekend was Ben's mom's birthday so we decided that a cake from scratch would be the best way to show our incredible kitchen skills. We might have failed.

We overfilled the cupcake tins and they went all over the stove. So these cupcakes were cut down to size. The cake was too thin so we layered it. Our homemade frosting was delicious (we made 3:mint, almond, buttercream) but we didn't have enough so we stretched it really thin. So thin.

Oh well, everything tasted delicous! And really, that's all that matters!
